Benjamin Merritt‘s work affirms & celebrates the experience of chronic illness & disability through text and printmaking. In the printing studio, he creates copperplate etchings, scraping away & altering the copper to show a long history of marks on the final print. His markmaking is visceral on the paper, a translation of lived experience into inscription.
